SpectraCare places a major emphasis on services to the community in the area of public information and education, seeking the prevention of substance abuse and mental health problems. The overall goal is to provide education and increase awareness to help individuals make choices to live healthy lives that are tobacco, alcohol and drug free. Comprehensive, evidence-based prevention activities are offered to individuals across the life span in order to provide the tools necessary for healthy living. Services are provided in Barbour, Dale, Geneva, Henry and Houston Counties.

Programs vary in length and in many cases can be tailored to meet the needs of the host agency. Prevention programs are provided at no cost to the host agency.
